Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Manage the sales pipeline, look into market segmentation and provide accurate forecast.
- Pro-actively search, develop and engage into new customer relationships.
- Identify account needs, opportunities and key buying factors for existing customers, and formalize those into account plans and value selling strategies.
- Present value propositions to Customers
- Qualify opportunities using qualification check list gates
- Quote to customer using Quoting tool and the pricing guidelines
- Follow up and Negotiate on the Quote
- Close business as Won or Lost and record reasons
- Update relevant Company IT Systems under Sales responsibility
- Increase customer satisfaction
- Aggressively explore local market and increase local controlled business ratio and enlarge account base to agreed level
- Actively market the business and Company brand using Campaigns, customer communication, sales material, Ecommerce value proposition and client advisories
- Review sales strategy regularly, and communicate thoroughly to ensure buy-in, support, and understanding from all relevant stakeholders
- In cooperation with internal stakeholders, accountable to deliver sales budget under assigned customer portfolio and business development activities
- Own the overall customer relationship for existing as well as new customers.
- Establish strong, multi-level, win/win relationships with new and existing customers.
- Effectively handover to relevant functions like Customer Service, Operations, Finance, etc. for the deal, terms and conditions agreed with customers in their contracts.
- Actively engage Customer Service into the customer relationship to ensure customers know relevant contact points in case of service failures.
- Provide market intelligence and support Trade and Marketing team on timely adjustment required based on market response
- Provide service support and claims resolution for extraordinary issues and dispute cases.
- Reinforce Company Group culture, values and reputation and ensure compliance with Company Group policies.
Who we are looking for:
Ideal candidate should have relevant work experience with proven track record in transport/logistics sales and/or major client management. He/she should have an outgoing personality, who can work independently with good shipping industry knowledge/background, has very strong business drive and commercial sense with customer-oriented mindset, self-motivated, result orientated in delivering objectives and increasing sales & yield performance, able to analyze market & customer developments, capable of maximizing the value of customer portfolio, strong communication skills and fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to also have:
- Good understanding of Lampung local market, competitors and industry trends
- Good analytical skill to understand what drives customer's needs and requirements, in order to be able to develop winning customer value propositions.
- Strong passion to grow and up-sell to existing accounts, focusing on profitability
- Capable of building and maintaining a strong network
