The Role: Working within the Asia Pacific region, you will develop and implement health, safety and environmental systems, for all business areas, which meet all Metso, local and international standards, as well as regulatory and customer requirements. Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage HSE system implementation and improvement plans for all sites.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external HSE audits.
- Develop and deliver training programs, in support of the Metso HSE systems.
- Provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders with regard to relevant HSE legislation, standards and internal requirements.
- Remain informed regarding amendments to legislation or standards, pertaining to HSE, and ensure this information is communicated promptly to Management.
- Oversee and manage worker's compensation systems.
- Completing relevant HSE related reports.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Strong understanding of OHSAS 18001:2007
- Strong understanding of occupational health, safety and environment legislation.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Five years previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to travel by vehicle and commercial flight.
- Ability to pass random alcohol and other drug tests.
